Shipping & Returns

Every veil is posted from our atelier in Korea. Here is what that costs, how long it takes, and what happens if it is not right.

Dispatch

Orders are made up and posted within one to two business days of payment, excluding Korean public holidays. Orders placed on a Friday evening go out on Monday.

Each veil is folded into its own gift box, about 300 g, and several boxes travel in one parcel.

We ship worldwide with two exceptions: destinations under trade sanctions, and addresses our carrier refuses. Checkout will tell you before you pay.

Free shipping worldwide

Standard shipping is free on every order.Anywhere in the world, with no minimum order and nothing to add to your bag to qualify. We pay the postage.

Free shipping travels as Korea Post K-Packet and takes 7–14 business days to most destinations. To the few countries K-Packet does not serve we send it by EMS instead, still at no charge to you.

Express upgrade · EMS · 3–7 business days

If you need a veil for a particular Sunday, checkout offers EMS with faster handling and fuller tracking. You pay only the difference, because the free standard postage goes towards it.

Your exact upgrade price is shown at checkout once you enter your country. Standard delivery always remains available at no charge.

Duties and taxes

Duties and import taxes are not included and may be collected by your local customs authority on delivery.

Goods are sold delivered duty unpaid. Whether anything is charged depends on your country's de minimis threshold and the value of your order — a single veil is often under it, several may not be. Your carrier will contact you if there is something to pay before delivery.

We declare each parcel accurately, at the price you paid, as Korean export law requires. We cannot describe an order as a gift or understate its value, and we cannot estimate your local duty for you.

For reference on your customs form: jacquard lace veil, 300 g, HS 6117.80, made in the Republic of Korea.

Tracking

We email a tracking number as soon as the parcel is handed over. Follow it on the Korea Post site first; once it lands, your national carrier takes over and their site will usually have more detail.

Tracking can sit still for a few days after the parcel leaves Korea. That is normal and does not mean it is lost. If nothing has moved for two weeks, write to us and we will open an enquiry with the post office.

You can check the status of any order at any time from order lookup.

Returns

You may return a veil within 14 days of delivery. Email marielatelier@naver.com with your order number first — we will send the return address and tell you what to expect. Please do not post anything back before you hear from us.

The veil needs to come back unworn and unwashed, in its box, with the lace undamaged. Lace shows handling quickly, so try it on over clean, dry hair and away from perfume or hairspray.

Return postage is at your cost unless the veil was faulty or we sent the wrong one. Because standard shipping was free there is no delivery charge to refund; if you paid for an express upgrade we refund that as well when the fault was ours. Duties already paid to your customs authority are between you and them, though many countries will refund them on proof of re-export.

Once the parcel reaches us we refund within three business days, to the original payment method. Banks usually post it within a further three to ten business days.

We do not offer exchanges across borders — the postage twice over costs more than it saves. Return the first veil and order the one you wanted.

If something is wrong with it

Woven lace has small irregularities, and that is the point of it — it is not printed mesh. A pulled thread, a torn edge, a loose seam or a colour that does not match the photographs is a different matter.

Send us photographs within 14 days of delivery. We will replace the veil or refund it in full, including postage both ways, and you choose which. You will not need to pay anything up front.

Undelivered and refused parcels

If a parcel comes back to us because the address was incomplete, nobody collected it from the depot, or it was refused over duties, we refund the goods once it arrives. Shipping was free to you but not to us, so we deduct the postage we actually paid and any charge the carrier passes on for the return leg.

Please double-check the address at checkout. An address we cannot correct after dispatch is the single most common cause of a lost parcel.

These practices form part of our Terms of Service. Questions about a specific parcel are best sent to marielatelier@naver.com.
